Industrial production in January 2022 recorded an annual growth of 0.7%, and in February by 6.3%, due to the extremely low comparison base from January and February 2021 when we had a decline in industrial production of 13.5% and 12.1%, respectively! Any recovery from the bottom is good, but it is not a reflection of the truth that the Government wants to present, reads the statement of VMRO-DPMNE.

The party says that in mining for two months in a row in 2022 there is a high annual growth in the extraction of coal and lignite, and extraction of metal ores in conditions when last year there was a total stagnation of excavations.

– This is a confirmation that last year, the coal mining was a significant discount, which hangs in the provision of this fuel in anticipation of the energy crisis. The reasons for calling and pointing out the opposition are financial. The same applies to domestic electricity production, which in the first two months of 2022 increased on an annual basis, reflecting the low comparison base from last year. These are not successful measures or policies, but it is a confirmation that no work is being done and no strategies are being considered. The truth of the data is different from the rosy representation of the Government and in several branches of the processing industry. Thus, the negative effects of increased production products (electricity, raw materials, gas,) are reflected on more processing industries. The production of food products marked a significant annual decrease in January and February 2022, which is a risk in conditions when we still have a shortage of supply of certain food products and high inflation. Beverage production also has a high annual decline in February. The textile industry is still experiencing negative performance, while the leather industry is recovering from the bottom. The production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers has an annual growth after last year’s high decline, while the production of machines and devices has an annual decrease. The capacity of the zones has already indicated the negative impact of the war in Ukraine, the party said in a statement.

VMRO-DPMNE adds that from the false representations about the economy and the work of the Government, Macedonia has long since reached the bottom!
