Danela Arsovska, an independent candidate for mayor of the City of Skopje, today at her press conference presenting her vision for Skopje said that through events and festivals Skopje will again become a city of culture, but also providing youth centers in all municipalities. Skopje must revive the cultural scene, support for independent artists and musicians and renovate our cultural infrastructure are the foundations to make Skopje a center of culture again. Skopje will be a city of festivals with the renewal of the traditional ones, but also with the introduction of new, exactly 12 big festivals a year, one every month, Skopje will be a city of culture. With a special revitalization program, the Old Bazaar will regain its luster, she explained.
Arsovska emphasized in her program that the priority will be to provide access for people with disabilities in all public offices and facilities and increase the number of social workers in schools.
Solidarity Skopje is a city that cares for all it’s citizens. In our Skopje, no one should be left alone and every citizen must have equal opportunities and the same quality of services. The City of Skopje will establish a delivery and assistance service for the elderly and infirm and for persons with disabilities and limited mobility. Access for people with disabilities will be provided in all public offices and facilities. We will provide youth centers for young people in all municipalities and increase the number of social workers in schools. We will build safe houses for women and establish a special application for them to call for help and receive emergency support in case of domestic violence, Arsovska promised.
Arsovska promised that Skopje will be a city of the future and a city for all Skopje citizens. We will change Skopje into a city of the future. The future implies strong investments in the education of the youth, and we will provide a new gymnasium, new facilities for the existing secondary vocational schools, a new library and reading rooms. That future is being built by investing in sports and a healthy life, Arsovska explained.
Skopje is more than the city center – Skopje is one city for everyone, said Arsovska.
