DUI MP Izet Medziti today commented on the resignations that followed the tragedy in Tetovo.

He says that if he were in the place of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, he would accept them.

– If I were Zaev, I would accept the resignations, said Medziti.

He added that “they will express their opinion in the Parliament” about them, however, he added.

– In principle, it is good that they resigned from a moral point of view. This shows that there are democratic values and that is happening in democratic countries, Medziti said at an event at the “Jashar Beg Shkupi” primary school, TV21 reports.

In the meantime, the resignations have not been submitted to the Parliament yet, because as announced by Prime Minister Zaev, they will be reviewed after the epilogue of the investigation into the causes of the fire, which killed 14 people and injured 12 in the covid center in Tetovo on the evening of 8 September.

The Minister and Deputy Minister of Health, Venko Filipce and Ilir Hasani, as well as the two directors of the Tetovo Clinical Hospital, Florin Besimi and Artan Etemi, resigned as a sign of moral responsibility.
