Although the previous week the Minister of Health officially stated that Macedonians on May 14 will finally be able to go to Greece after a year and a half with a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours or with a vaccination certificate, our southern neighbor was not allowed to enter the country.

Also, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, who visited Greece yesterday, informed the citizens on his Facebook profile that Greece officially opens its borders with our country from today, but as we can see, the situation at the border crossings says the exact opposite, our Macedonian citizens announce that they are not allowed to enter Greece.

– We had an excellent working meeting with the Prime Minister of Greece, Mitsotakis. He informed me that starting tomorrow, May 14, 2021, the Evzoni border crossing is open for all citizens of Macedonia who have a negative PCR test, written proof of receiving two doses of vaccine against COVID-19 or a positive result for antibodies, Zaev wrote on his Facebook profile .

The Greek side previously stated that from May 14 the land crossings will be open for the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Albania.
