– I regret that then, but even today, the opposition does not contribute to major political decisions. Neither Mickoski nor VMRO-DPMNE gave contribution; they were guided strictly by party political goals regardless of the interest of the state, said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev at the recent press conference.
However, Zaev’s statement was denied in the European Commission report, which said that the opposition remained, engaged in the Assembly, and supported key issues of national interest, i.e. EU-related reforms and the NATO integration process.
From the very beginning, the Government of Zoran Zaev was denied in the report. Because the report notes that, the opposition party also remained engaged in Parliament and supported key issues of common national interest, such as EU-related reforms and the NATO integration process, which Macedonia joined in March 2020.
