Internet in Macedonia and Serbia, two of the four countries in the Adriatic region, is mostly used for reading daily news, then for social networks and for sending and receiving e-mails, shows a recent study.

The study was conducted by the Mediana Institute for Market and Media Research in 2012.

According to the study, Croatians and Slovenians go online primarily to read news, check their e-mail accounts and read the weather forecast.

Internet users in the countries most frequently visit the online editions of daily newspapers, which is followed by listening to radio and watching television.

Of the four countries in the region, Internet is most used in Slovenia (78%), Croatia (67%) and in Macedonia and Serbia (63% each)
