Attraction of foreign investments is one of the top priorities of VMRO-DPMNE-led government, Gruevski said. For the last 40 days the has government organized nine events for promotion of foreign investments in Macedonia, namely it signed agreements to that effect with four companies; another three launched their production process, one commenced a construction of own plant, and another one announced its decision to invest in the country, he said.

The amount of foreign investments in the period of 2007-2015 is at EUR 2,26 billion, i.e. EUR 1,5 million higher in comparison to the previous period, Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski said.

The inflow of foreign investments has been also boosting Macedonia’s export rate, which at EUR 1,472 billion hit a record last year, Stavreski said, pointing out that 36 percent of the export rate has been generated by the foreign investments.
