Macedonia to be represented at tourism fair in Istanbul

Macedonia’s tourist offer will be presented at the EMITT tourism fair, set to take place on Jan. 28-31 in Istanbul.


EMITT (East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition) is one of the largest events in the tourism industry in the region, where 4,550 participants from 71 countries will participate, including Macedonia, Argentine, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Brazil, Belarus, France, U.K., Italy, Iran, Croatia, India, South Africa, Georgia, Montenegro, Kuwait, Cuba, South Korea, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Egypt, Mongolia, Letonia, Lebanon, Uzbekistan, Russia, Slovenia, Seychelles, Thailand, Tunisia, Vietnam, Yemen and Greece.

Since the tourism fair in Istanbul last year was visited by more than 130,000 visitors, it provides an excellent opportunity to present Macedonia’s tourist offer on the major Turkish market.

Under the program prepared by the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism, Macedonia will be also presented at the Brussels Holiday Fair, scheduled to be held on Feb. 4-8. The country is set to be represented at the Holiday and Spa fair in Sofia and the Belgrade Tourism Fair throughout February.

In January, Macedonia’s tourism potentials were promoted at the Vakantiebeurs fair, held in the Dutch city of Utrecht.
