This gives strength, gives motivation to continue with this pace of work and with this manner of running the economy, creating good business climate and attracting investors who create jobs, wrote Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on his FB profile after the SSO announced today that unemployment in the third quarter of this year was 25.5 percent, which is record of the lowest unemployment rate in the country.
-Today I am very happy, really happy. My dream is realized. The unemployment rate fell to historically low level of 25.5 percents. From about 38 percents in 2006 to 25.5 percent today as of September this year. In just one quarter it was decreased by 1.3 percent. At the same time is growing the number of employees in the country, about 560 thousand employees in Macedonia when we came into government, today we have registered 711 thousand new jobs created, which is nearly 150 thousand more Gruevski wrote.
The Prime Minister emphasized that are 150 thousand new jobs. People who were sitting at home in hopelessness, apathy, and anxiety, feeling of hopelessness and lack of faith in anyone, today have their employment, their job, their salary, insurance, future prospects, hope and enthusiasm.
– This gives strength, gives motivation to continue this pace of work and this manner of running the economy, creating good business climate and attracting investors who create jobs. Congratulations to all the economic team of the Government. This is our common success, this is the success of Macedonia!, wrote Gruevski.
SSO today announced that in the third quarter of this year, unemployment in Macedonia dropped to 25.5 percent. According to the State Statistical Office, in the III quarter of 2015, the active population in Macedonia was 954 610 persons, out of which 711 380 are employed and 243 230 people were unemployed.
The activity rate in this period is 56.9, the employment rate is 42.4, while the unemployment rate 25.5, according to CBS. In the second quarter of this year, unemployment stood at 26.8 percents, which means decrease of 1.3 percent.
