The European Commission has encouraged all parties in Macedonia to fully implement the obligations arising from the June/July agreement following the deal reached early on Friday, reports MIA from Brussels.
“We understand that the parties are close to an agreement and we encourage all parties to make the necessary remaining steps in view of implementing the commitments of the June/July agreement. This is also relevant in the context of the upcoming progress report”, said European Commission Spokesperson Catherine Ray on Friday.
The EC is to release the progress reports for the countries within the Union enlargement process next Tuesday. Macedonia is expected to receive a seventh consecutive recommendation for the opening of the accession talks, conditioned by the full implementation of the June/July agreement
