Gruevski with European political leaders at EPP Congress in Spain

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski from today will pay two-day political and economic visit to Spain.



In Madrid, the Prime Minister will participate at the Congress of the European People’s Party, which is divided into two parts. In the first part, participants will discuss the current challenges on the European continent, the economy and potential for growth, sustainable regional development and job creation, the development of the information society and technologies, and will be debated and challenged the illegal migrants to the development of the European Union and European policies of integration.

There is part where will address the heads of governments, which are members of the European People’s Party, where Prime Minister will addressed participants.

The second part of the statutory congress in Madrid, as informed by the Government press service, is dedicated to the election as President of the European People’s Party, Vice President and General Secretary of the European People’s Party.

Congress in Madrid is expected to be attended by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Spanish Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Portugal, Pedro Passos Koel, Prime Minister of Ireland, Enda Kenny, prime minister of Latvia, Laimdota Straujuma, European Commission President Jean Claude Juner and European Council President Donald Tusk.

During the two-day visit to Madrid, the Prime Minister Gruevski will attend the business forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid. At the forum will present investment opportunities in Macedonia and potentials for economic cooperation and development of economic relations.
