– This is a key day to find permanent solution and move forward, tweeted Commissioner Johannes Hahn before the meeting in Brussels with the four leaders of the Macedonian political parties to overcome the political crisis in Macedonia.

The meeting held in the building “Berlaymont” of the European Commission in Brussels, started in full composition around 11:30.

As MIA reports from Brussels, although originally envisaged Hahn to have early bilateral meetings with SDSM leader Zoran Zaev and then with Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, however, they sat at the same table together with the Repourter for the  Republic of Macedonia in European Parliament Ivo Vajgl and leaders of DPA and DUI, Menduh Thachi and Ali Ahmeti.

As the European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijanchich informed, four Macedonian leaders plus Han and Vajgl, immediately sat on the table in order to reach agreement on the issues of the framework agreement reached last week’s meeting in Skopje.

What was surprising at the start, is the SDSM president’s move who was the only one that gave statement before the meeting, but for the medium chosen by him and at remote site from other news teams in the pressroom of the European Commission who are expecting the outcome of today’s negotiations.
