Signed plan for cooperation and customs facilitation with China

Customs administrations of Macedonia, Serbia and Hungary have signed a plan for cooperation and facilitation of customs operations with the People’s Republic of China in 2015-2016, establishing contact points and cooperation mechanisms.


The plan is signed within a forum of the “Silk Road Economic Belt” initiative, aimed at networking and developing customs agencies.

The event brings together representatives from about 60 states, officials of global organizations related to customs operations, as well as World Customs Organization secretary-general Kunio Mikuriya.

Macedonian Customs Administration director Natasa Radeska-Krstevska addressed the forum and presented the organization’s current and future challenges.

The forum is expected to stimulate further networking and communication among customs agencies, resulting in facilitation of customs duties, increased security, support of mutual cooperation through use of technological innovations, capacity development, promotion of openness for cooperation and enhancement of investment opportunities
