Protek Group to Open Macedonia Plant

Russian pharmaceutical holding “Protek Group” will formally open its plant “Prodis” for natural and healthy products in technological-industrial development zone (TIDZ) Skopje 1 on Wednesday.

“Prodis” will produce homeopathic medicines, organic and non-organic cereal products, as well as organic and non-organic teas, vitamins and minerals. Ninety-five percent of output is intended for distribution at foreign markets, primarily in the Russian Federation, but also the markets of the former Soviet and Yugoslav states and overseas.

The total Russian investment worth EUR 5 million will develop in two stages. The first stage includes the opening of the production facility employing 130 people, whereas the second would focus on enlargement of the existing facility and 130 more jobs by 2015.

Protek Group is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies of Russia. The Group has diversified business interests and operates in all major segments of the pharmaceutical industry such as medicine manufacturing, distribution and retail of pharmaceutical, health and beauty products. The Group employs over 12,000 specialists.
