Corporation Lear based in Southfield, Michigan, the leading global supplier of automotive parts, today announced plans to open new factory in Gostivar, Macedonia in summer 2016, report the world’s media.


Lear deliver parts for all major European car manufacturers and is planned in the new factory initially to employ about 300 people and is expected to further expand the plant.

– With the continued success of Lear in vertically integrated automotive seating systems and components, we will gladly start transactions in Macedonia and we are planning to build the plant by mid-2016. We appreciate the cooperation with everyone involved in the process of starting work on the first plant of Lear in Macedonia, said Jeneanne Hanley Vice president at the company.

Corporation Lear is the largest world supplier with luxury, leather car accessories and systems for power. Lear supplies parts to all major automotive manufacturers in the world and their parts can be found in more than 300 car models.

Lear Corporation currently has approximately 132,000 employees in 34 countries.
