President of the Assembly Trajko Veljanovski today met with the President of the Parliament of Western Australia, Michael Sutherland.


At the meeting Veljanovski evaluated that the visits of highest level contribute to strengthening the cooperation between the two countries, which means cooperation at parliamentary level. Both sides agreed that by the visit of the collaborative groups of two parliaments will be given significant input to good and friendly relations between the two countries.

They also discussed the importance and the contribution, which the Macedonian community in Australia gives and concluded that it is constantly growing and is involved in the political and economic mainstream of Australian society. At the meeting was noted that the Macedonian community is satisfied with the relationship the state has with them and the way they return with commitment and loyalty.

Both sides underlined the importance of improving the overall relationship, especially in the economic sphere, as well as Australian companies investing in Macedonia.

In this context, the President of the Parliament of Western Australia indicated that in particular, mining is developed branch and in this section may be increased cooperation with Macedonia.

Sutherland as inform from the Cabinet of Veljanovski was interested in the political developments and economic development in Macedonia and expressed delight with the progress and modernization of the capital.
