Criminal charges for 10 participants in the protests in Tetovo

Ministry of Interior Affairs identified and in coordination with the public prosecutor announced criminal charges for 10 people participating in the protest, organized on 6 of this month in Tetovo, in which were injured six police officers and three other people.


Two of the identified people, citizens of Tetovo I.N (38) and F.M (41) are suspected of committing crimes – “participation in mob and preventing officer in the performance of official duties,” Article 384 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Macedonia and “attack of the officer in carrying out security” Article 383, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Macedonia.

The other eight identified: M.E. (32), B.D (32), B.Z (40), B.I (32), J.I (31), SA (32) and SH.I (64) from Tetovo and G.M (32) of Dolno Palchishte are accused of committing crime – “participation in mob and preventing an officer in the performance of official duties.”

The identified I.N. and FM physically attacked two police officers and caused physical injuries to one of them, while all ten did not respect the orders of the officers and threw stones, fences, and pushed police officers.

Yesterday all ten are called by the SIA Tetovo and I.N. and FM were reserved and during the day will be brought before judge in the previous procedure of the Basic Court Tetovo. Ministry of Interior Affairs continues to identify the other participants in the protests who acted violently.
