Exports in the first four months increased by 15.1%

Exports of goods in the first four months of the year in the country amounted to U.S. $ 1,510,588 thousand and grew by 15.1 percent, while the value of imports was U.S. $ 2,316,124 thousand and increased by 10.3 percent, according to the State Statistical Office statistics.

According to published data import coverage by export was 65.2 percent, and the trade deficit amounted to USD 805,536 thousand.

Macedonia mostly exported catalyst of carriers with precious metals or their compounds, ferrosilicium, ferronickel, sets of ignition wires, etc. for vehicles, aircraft, iron and steel (rolled products) and clothes.

Crude oil, platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder, electricity and other metals of the platinum group and their alloys, unwrought or in powder form, were imported from abroad.

In the first four months of this year, 78.7 percent of the export was conducted with the EU countries and 13 percent with the Western Balkans. Also 63.9 percent of the import was from the EU.

We have traded the most with Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Serbia and Italy. These countries have carried 52.4 percent of the total foreign trade.
