Agramunt: SDSM should return to Parliament and to accept the will of the majority

Chairman of the Group of the European People’s Party in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Pedro Agramunt send congratulations to President Gjorge Ivanov and Prime Minister and the leader of VMRO – DPMNE Nikola Gruevski on the occasion of election victory with wishes to work for the welfare and safety of residents of Macedonia as before.

– I strongly believe that trust that was given to Ivanov by the Macedonia’s citizens will be incentive for continued reforms for ensuring prosperity and welfare for all. I wish Ivanov and Gruevski success in meeting these goals, Agramunt said in the statement for MIA.

Agramunt also called the opposition to accept the decisions of the majority of citizens and fulfill their democratic responsibilities. He expresses concern at the decision of the SDSM to boycott parliament and to return mandates.

– Requires constructive opposition party to ensure peace, stability, and prosperity for the citizens of Macedonia. I call the opposition to take their seats in Parliament and to work for the country’s future, says Agramunt.

Pedro Agramunt is chairman of the largest group, the group of the European People’s Party (EPP) in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and is one of the prominent senators in Spain. Member of the Bureau of the People’s Party of Spain – the ruling party and one of the most influential people in the party. He is Senator from 1993, for the region of Valencia and won most votes in the history elections for that region – 746 478. He is also active in the business community, and was chairman of the board of directors of several companies in the textile industry, chairman of Chambers of Commerce of Valencia, Spain.
