In all cities in Macedonia tomorrow start one stop shop for issuing the lost personal documents and starts new procedure for issuing new documents at one place, only at the counters in the administrative offices of the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
With this simplified procedure, the citizens will be able to carry out payment and announcement of the invalid document for ID card, passport, driving license, and vehicle registration at the counters Ministry of Interior Affairs and immediately initiate the procedure for issuing new document.
The project, whose test period was conducted recently, is jointly of Ministry of Interior Affairs and PE Official Gazette, it enables shortening the procedure for announcing, and citizens can issue new documents in significantly shorter time.
So far, this procedure was quite complicated, especially for citizens from other cities in Macedonia where the Official Gazette no offices and lasted for several days. The new protocol will be implemented from 1st of April at counters in the administrative services of the Ministry and the citizen would be able in one day to announce the invalid document and to start proceedings for a new document.
In Macedonia, according to current statistics, an average of 30,000 people per year lose their personal documents, most of them IDs, then driving licenses, passports and driving licenses at the end.
