Investments in Macedonia on the rise, over 20 companies are coming

Over € 250 million foreign investment poured in Macedonia last year, and some of them are still being implemented. According to investors over 11,000 new jobs are opened in these capacities, information agency MIA reports.

There are 10 foreign companies in Bunardzik, and one of them is the American “Johnson Controls” and British “Johnson Matthey”, which announced expansion of their facilities.

“Johnson Controls” invested around €40 million and employed 350 people.

“Johnson Matthey” has invested €130 million, and by the end of the year will create 150 more jobs.

American “Kemet” employed 250 people, and invested €35 million, while announced another €10 million for additional capacity of 100 new jobs.

Italian “TeknoHoze” this year invested €35 million, and announced an investment of additional €11 million and employment of 100 people.

“Van Hool” hired 400 people this year and announced another 100 jobs.

“Istem Medical” from Turkey this year will realize investment of €8 million and will employ 250 people.

“Mensan Automotive” invested €5 million in the brakes factory, which created jobs for 100 people.

In January the Prime Minister announced at least 20 companies that will invest in the country.

Foreign investors operating in the country expected exports of around $760 million in 2013. Forecasts say that exports will increase by 50 % and will reach €1.2 billion, which will cover 1/3 of the total export of Macedonia in 2014.
